Supreme Court may order probe into ‘false’ Covid death claims

Expressing concern over the misuse of its order on granting compensation for Covid-19 deaths in the country, the Supreme Court on Monday warned that it will “come down heavily” on those who took the ex gratia by submitting fake certificates and said it may order a probe by an independent agency to catch these false claimants.
