Swing-resistant: 47 seats, same parties, 24 years

Nearly a fourth of the 182 assembly seats in Gujarat have not changed hands from one political party to another since 1998. Voters have shown unshakeable faith in a candidate or a party in these 47 seats which are spread across the state. The number of such impregnable bastions goes up to a total of 55 seats if one takes into account the past four elections since 2002.
