Let speakers deal with disqualifications first, not courts: SC

The Supreme Court on Tuesday disagreed with senior advocate Kapil Sibal's proposition that given the inherent bias of speakers towards governing parties, the constitutional courts of jurisdiction concerned should be made the first forums for deciding disqualification petitions against MLAs under the anti-defection law.
