Sriram chose Vijay over Saif for Merry Christmas

Director Sriram Raghavan shared an interesting incident about the casting of 'Merry Christmas'. He revealed that Saif Ali Khan was interested in Vijay Sethupathi's character but was not cast as the director wanted something new. Sriram wanted a unique pairing and approached other actors who had already worked with Katrina Kaif. Sriram met Vijay at an event and was impressed by his film '96'. The director is excited to witness Vijay and Katrina's onscreen magic in the film.
