2 families, continents apart, bond over Xmas cake and memories

A family from Suffolk, England, has a unique connection to a bakery in Kannur, Kerala. The Brown family's ancestors ran a cinnamon plantation in Kannur in the 1800s and had a special Christmas cake made by a local bakery. The cake, known as the 'Brown Family Cinnamon Christmas Cake', was made with local ingredients and a cashew and banana brew instead of French brandy. The Brown family recently visited the bakery and presented them with a cake made by a French pastry chef as a tribute to their shared history.
